Intergas fans

Bernard, some Intergas combi boilers do a low pressure switch/detector. They advise to pull out a wire disabling it when on open vent.

That is NOT good advice if the sensor is the only device to prevent dry firing. Some might say the over heat sensor on the flow pipe would prevent prolonged dry firing but with no water to carry heat from heat exchanger to the sensor the heat exchanger could get very hot before enough heat conducted along the dry pipe to the sensor to trip the temperature sensor and stop the boiler firing.

Bernard, the Intergas combi can have the CH section totally dry operating as a multi-point water heater. It can also have the DHW water section dry as well by say a leak and no harm. Parameter 1 selects what combination you want - 4 choices. Being dry is not a problem to this combi, although the pump will suffer being dry. Selecting hot water only on parameter 1 will never allow the pump to run.

Intergas have yet to acknowledge pin5... But it works a treat .

Re-editing and printing new manuals is expensive
