How can I change the name of a link to another site...avoiding having to put in the full url if I wanted to direct someone to this site for instance..so I could just type..'click here' and it would take them directly to a site or web page from the site

I have tried cutting and pasting the name after changing it from its properties via favourites...but no joy..

aLSO TRIED CHAGING THE NAME AFTER I PASTED IT TO A PAGE ON HERE...THAT DIDNT WORK EITHER.

Ooops...sorry..blinking caps lock key!

Dependant upon your answer, if forthcoming, there may be a link between you and the 'official' help which I had not noticed before... Have you been teased out of hiding? Has the guard slipped and the head popped above the parapit?

We are always watching...and waiting.
:D :D :D

Thats all about as straight forward as a car going backwards.. :?

How to provide an image like this :-
diy1.gif

This is written in this way, with opening and closing 'tags' (
)
[img]http://www.diynot.com/img/diy1.gif[/img]

The simple address for the image... ( non-tagged you have to click on it for viewing.. ) http://www.diynot.com/img/diy1.gif

----------------------------------------

If I wish to point to Diynot web site, but ask the reader to click on a word or two or more ... Using www.diynot.com as the address or URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the web site.
Giving you this CLICK HERE

I would write it like this.. as you see here and now.
[url=www.diynot.com]CLICK HERE[/url]

This would work too, simply ...
www.diynot.com

----------------------------------------

Now, as an example, you get this....
BBCode
By typing, copying and pasting or even using a magic trowel, this....
[url=http://www.simplyguides.net/forums/index.php?act=legends&CODE=bbcode&s=]BBCode[/url]

Takes you to the following address.. neatly.
http://www.simplyguides.net/forums/index.php?act=legends&CODE=bbcode&s=
Content not all relevant to this site, but lays out some idea of BB Code

----------------------------------------

See lower left in your Diynot 'post a reply' edit screen..
BBCode is ON
Click on that bu##er to see Knotter's help ...
