IP Cams FTP Sever

Hi Guys,

I currently have YCams and i would like to use the FTP to upload stills when motion detected.

However i have never tried this before so just wanting some help.

Does it save it to a computer in the house or does it save it to a FTP Service ie Externally Off Site ?

Does anybody know any good Free FTP providers ?

You can install the FileZilla SERVER (not client) on any machine and it will allow FTP access to a folder.

If you have XP PRO you can enable FTP within IIS (add remove windows components in control panel), you will likely need the original install CD.

If you have free webspace from your ISP (many offer this), use that. If your internet is down so are your cams.

If you don't want to leave a PC on at all times, look for a network hard drive (NAS - network attached storage) with FTP access.
