our son recieved an ipod nano for christmas but he has lost the installation disc we,ve connected it to the computer but nothing happens is there any site that will give us the programme tried a few but they want about £25.00 :shock

How the hell do you lose a disk inside of a few days?

Right, iirc the disc only contains software that you can download from the t'internet anyway.
The nano should just plug'n'play if you plug it into a windows based pc.
You need to download and install the latest itunes from http://www.apple.com/uk/downloads/
You'll also find drivers in there should you need them.
It should see/recognise your nano without a problem.
