The Shah essentially created an oligarchic, crony state like most other countries in the region. If you lived in the cities and had connections to get a good education a good job life was great! But if you didn’t have connections then life was very difficult, especially if you were a farmer.

Iran doesn't have nukes. Israel does.
Iran is a signatory to the NPT. Israel isn't. Iran has allowed IAEA inspectors into its country. Israel doesn't.
