Iran

whether or not the uranium was in there is unclear
No they have it safe they know where it is - look they are pointing at it whilst protecting themselves with masks

DId anyone else find those holes in the sand a bit odd.?? I mean 16 ton of tnt at the other end of the hole would have made then perhaps, go a little rough around the edges? I wonder if they went off.
There should have been a mountainlike collapse, 633 squadron style, no??

The centrifuges aren't all that big or complicated, so I expect they can set some up elsewhere.
The U would have been stored as a gas apparently, quite big containers s but only "a few trucks".

It's not that useful unless you can make the containment such that the subcritical masses are forced together by a clever 3D explosion. Easy to get that wrong, hence all the tests. You only need about 40kg of the stuff. It's19/13 the density of lead - had to look that up.
U isn't ideal for a Dirty Bomb by itself. You really need the Plutonium 239 that comes out from the reaction chain in a reactor, That's a much nastier chemical because it's (even) more toxic to organisms. Both of them dissolve in water - hence soil etc and last for thousands of years. They're alpha emitters, not highly penetrative unless they get inside you. The radiation then buggers your cell cycles leading to cancers etc.

I looked up "suitcase bombs". These were claimed in the 50's, but may never have existed, it's not clear. They would need maintenance and been highly technical. SUV sized bombs are perfectly feasible though, it says.
US, Russia and Isreal are supposed to have made small nukes.

Not odd if they are designed to penetrate into the ground and then ignite incediary explosives to burn everything.

It’s looking increasingly like the operation was more dam busters than bunker busters I.e. a lot of hype but dubious strategic value.

It was considerably more effective than 'Operation Black Buck' which is still talked about in revered tones to this day. Nobody expected them to strike as early as they did, nobody expected a non stop flight from the US to carry out the mission just as nobody expected the devastating precision of the bombings.

Just as nobody knows the extent of the damage at this point in time.

when the mad muller said no real damage was done - the Donald should have said, "fair enough" "we will send more and bigger"

Stupid v Stupider

If the mad muller had half a brain he should have just said - yep its all buggered (even if it was fully intact)

and as for the Donald - this is brilliant - sometimes I just love Trump

But they aren't. They're designed to produce a shock big enough to collapse the rock, not light a fire.
There would have been an enormous evolution of gas, energy, heat. Coming out of those holes at supersonic speed.

Oddly, Trump thinks he does.
the storage facility was definitely hit and that's backed up by satellite images
You mean the area above the target showed signs of holes. It's a wee bit early to break out the champagne based on that ambiguous info'.

This pre supposes the Don is interested in facts over headlines. They wouldn’t negotiate so he bombed them in order to fulfill his election pledge that he’s a great negotiator, a peace maker.

Your spiritual leader said the sites had been obliterated. The other spiritual leader says they were a flesh wound. Who to believe? It’s seems like the severe damage the CI A refer to was to the mountain.
