Iraq’s U.N. ambassador: ISIS may be harvesting organs

Hope they stun the patients first, because saying a little prayer beforehand won't really do.

I can't for the life of me believe this - surely the relative pittance they could possibly hope to make (for what would surely be pretty worthless) organs would pale, compared to the millions per day they get from oil.

That said, they supposedly do not rule out any income stream.

Given their heavy dependence on oil revenues, could the global drop in oil prices be an attempt to strangle ISIS? After all, Saudi, having passed laws banning their previous funding of ISIS late last year, has also continued producing oil at pre-price drop levels, helping to suppress the crude oil price further.

Poss more to do with squeezing the Ruskies. The sanctions and dropping crude price is causing real pain to their economy.

Depends what you read, but yes US fracking is going to suffer because of it's high cost. The impact of the low prices of oil will poss hit Russia and Iran harder, as both are also subject to sanctions at present. Even Venezuela is being crippled.

The Yanks will probably just bank the shale oil for when the prices inevitably rise. Until then, we seem to be able to enjoy the situation.

Venezuela was a basket-case anyway - hardly a good example of financial probity.

Diplomatically though, who gives a toss about the Russians?
Never going to march through Europe.
Never going to use nukes.
All just p!ss and wind on both sides.

ISIS however........

new kids on the block.
Acting like Spring Break.
(Supposedly) welcome death, rather than fear it.

In a way, ISIS do for muslims what Putin does for the Russian people. By muscle flexing and shows of strength, both Putin and ISIS embolden and empower their people, whether they admit it or not.

Putin is testing The EU and NATO, and so far he's proved that both are slow to react. Putin is popular in spite of the state of the Russian economy, because the Russians see him as someone who can restore some pride that was lost with the fall of the Soviet Union.

Almost a hundred years ago, people were no doubt laughing at or underestimating another prominent megalomaniac.

where are we going to get that many virgins, Rotherham?
Did you not see my post last night?

It is the same seventy two that meet everyone, so ...
Oh, and they deny entry to any who have committed suicide.

Spread the word.
