People used to make the same sort of comments when one parent turned gay. I think you are worrying too much about the effect on the children. As long as they are loved, they will be OK.

I don't think a parent "Turns" Gay, they have probably repressed their sexuality due to various reasons, social repression, not willing to disappoint parents lack of self acceptance, self confidence, self esteem, fear etc.

I know. This goes to back to the start of the thread when I was being an arse. I was trying to make a point about using language respectfully for everyone, including for trans people. It was meant to be a parody to make other posters think, but I don't think anyone got it and it just made them all angry.

Children are the way they are nowadays because they know they are untouchable lack of discipline at school or at home.

Long gone are the days of dodging the blackboard rubber or having a ruler across your knuckles or dare I say it the cane.

Then there are the tags that are dished out left right and centre, oh Dwayne has got ADD or ADHD or ODD or Anxiety or Depression giving them no end of excuses

I was right little barsteward growing up, I got the cane and the slipper, in modern day I would be classed as ADHD or I hated school and liked setting fire to things.

I think though for the younger generation all this LGBTQ is normal, some of it to the older generation is rather odd.
