Hi,

I'm looking at insulating an existing bathroom. The walls are currently tiled with ceramic tiles. Is it OK to simply put the insulated plasterboard on top of the tiles, or do the tiles need to be stripped from the walls before putting on the insulated plasterboard?

Thanks!

Can't see how it will make any difference to be honest!

Do you plan to tile the new plasterboard? In which area of the bathroom are you using this board?

How are you going to be fitting the insulated pasterboard, and as cjards asks, are you then tiling it. I can't remember off of the top of my head, but there are products that will provide a better key to the tiles. If you're going to tile the plasterboard afterwards, then you might need to add some mechanical fixings to strengthen it.
