Corrosion Proofer, is inhibitor, it is there (hopefullY), to prevent your steel radiators rusting from the inside out. The magnetic filter you (hopefully) have fitted, is a second line of defence, for the boiler, it is there to collect any flakes of rust (magnetite), that escape from your radiators, to prevent the tiny passages in a modern boiler, becoming choked with the magnetite.
