But on a serious point - clearly the cable enters the rear of the socket, so how have you ensured that water cannot enter as well?
 
oooh, now then . . . that socket, without its waterproof jacket, is exactly the same as the one next to the cash machine in our shop. Just thought i'd mention that. Not that anybody cares. Not even anything plugged into it. Dont know why its even there, truth be told.

It came with a grommet which you cut the hole in it to size, & pass the cable through, & then they say to run a bit of sealant around where the cable comes through.
