I wondered if anyone knows if there is any difference between the Toyota GT 86 & Subaru BRZ, particularly if you have driven both cars, eg mechanical and comfort.

I have driven the GT86 but only up to 40 mph, it was a nice positive drive and quite comfortable, but too much traffic to say much else.

Visually, I can see that the front grill is slightly different.

They are essentially the same car wearing different hats. Insides are not identical and use respective in house components (e.g. Toyota's own SATNAV, Suburu's standard fit CD Stereo) fitted from across the respective companies vehicle ranges. They even smell different inside aparently.

Mechanics are the same and the general consensus is that the Toyota varient has softer spring rates which make it a more lively rear end drive. The Subaru being harder has quicker turn in responses. But that is about as far as it goes with regards to mechanicals.

Warranties are the biggest difference - You get five years and 100,000 miles on the Toyota, three years and 60,000 miles on the Subaru.
