what i am after is somthing you dont mix but perhaps build up in layers hopefully coating a surface fairly thick say 0.25mm layer or there about with some slump or spread ok more to give a random following the contours more than leveling effect all on wood
does such a product exist ??
thanks for looking

There are sprayable coatings which might do what you need, as well as fibre glass resins (try Bonda, etc)

You may get away with a clear casting resin, but if slight yellowing isn't a problem, then fibreglass resin (boat chandlers / motor factors) can supply.
Depending on how much catalyst you use, setting time can be between 15 minutes and a day.
John :)

Do you mean a sort of varnish?

Indoors or out?

it more for decorative bits off wood haven't planed for outdoors
for example i have a bit off oak plank that has decay one end deep charring in the middle
i have removed the surface charring and decay mostly to solid but with hints off full charring on corners and underneath
now my plans are as a shelf so without giving it a stabilizing layer with a bit off shine it wont be practical

Just an update
As the resin option didn't seem practical as a learning one off as a complete contrast to the timber I went for the understated 2 coats off bison wax now I am fairly please with the understated Finnish it does lift what's there also looking at chunky simple metal brackets to enhance and contrast not overwhelm

Now I can't do pictures but may try harder to post the finished result

Posted from my phone for the first time ever as I can't get past the cookies page that won't take an answer to log in on my lap top for 2 days now ??
