I have an oil fired Potterton flowsure combi boiler, and although the central heating is never switched on (maybe on the odd occasion) the boiler is only used for hot water ie baths, showers etc, the pump on the boiler is running almost all of the time although the temp gauge is only showing between 70 to 80degs
I rang Potterton and explained and they said "Locate the pump over-run sensor, remove same from its sleeve and just lay it on top of the pipe." which I did
The pump does not run all of the time now, but, the temp gauge now shows 90degs+ and the boiler does smell warmer!!!!
Hence the question!!!
