Is this Japanese Knotweed?

Hi all,

We moved into a new-build home in Christmas 2016, spent 2017 sorting the garden out so this is the first time since moving in we have been able to sit back and enjoy the garden space.

While tidying up our flower bed, I spotted something which looked unlike the other weeds I pulled out. Looking at pictures online, it seems to look a little like Japanese knotweed?

I don't know much about plants and foliage, so I'm hoping someone on here can kindly identify this for me.

I know that there was knotweed on site which was removed and treated prior to the builders starting construction.

Not sure. It doesn't look like japanese knotweed but I cannot be sure. This picture

is japanese knotweed.

If its 6'0 tall by the morning, I might be wrong

Smell it. It looks like mint to me.
