Is this pitch fibre pipe?

It looks like some kind of bitumen and clay pipe, but wait for someone more knowledgeable to reply. Is it a waste pipe?

This was our pitch fibre drain pipe that was replaced last year. They just smashed them up and disposed of them. Replaced with clay pipe.

Looks a bit like Pitch Fibre, and some did contain Asbestos, so advice is, dont break it unless absolutely necessary, wear a mask, and keep it wet to avoid release of spores.

I thought it was anthrax that had spores, not asbestos

Keeps getting worse.
Having done some research with everything saying either replace or shove a balloon up it I might have to replace one run of it about 8 metres long. But there's another 7-8 metres that I might be better trying a bodge and if it fails one day I'll tackle it then.
So I've seen this company suggested. Or is that a pipe dream?

Yeah, I reckon it'll be a four figure price though, might as well replace what's there.
I've found a few couplers that claim to connect to pitch fibre while watching YouTube. Flexseal dc115, mcalpine dc1 and floplast sp140.
Might give that a try.
