Inspection certificates don't 'expire' - and, like MOT certificates, may not accurately reflect the state of an electrical installation even the day after they were issued. It's essentially up to anyone asking to see a certificate (e.g. a potential house purchaser) to decide how recent a one they want to see.The sparki got back to me today stating that he would carry out the inspection and that the certificate would last for 5 years. Is this the normal time, I heard somewhere that its usually ten? Hes not asking for any money upfront either which is something I guess.
