Hi guys,

Just ripped out some old wardrobes and there is wiring for 2 spotlights that was never used.

I don’t plan to use them so is it safe to leave them like this? Is there a better way to terminate them?

Thanks

I believe that a chocbox will be sufficient

However they need to be accessible if you use screw terminals. If you want to push the up in to the cavity and fill the hole, fittings such as Wagos, in a suitable Wago box do not need to be accessible.

NB: you will need the Wago connectors as well.

The box will push up in to the hole. Obs- flick the MCB before you fit the Wagos

Do you have access to the void above?
It may be just as simple to disconnect the wiring at the junction box, if there is one?
....and disconnecting and pulling through the single cable will half the risk for a start! :)
