Other saving strategies? Do you not have thermostat set to say 21 degrees so it comes on and off as needed? We were looking at a new boiler and the saving is small if you turn on but it is a saving
3-5% in running cost.
Up to you if you use it.
Add a few other saving strategies and maybe you could save 10% a year.
That's £200.
Bit difficult in our house as it's whacked on high 24/7, even the lemons plants are wilting!
Ha
Can anyone tell me if having weather dependent really is worth turning on
Well i spoke to a worchester bosch after service person and they told me its not worth having on but that was an off the record remark and i just want to see what other experts think?Do you imagine that they would include the feature if it did not work?

I had it on on sunday it was 18 degrees i wanted to get it up to 21 degrees. It modulated at a decent enough heat to 20 degrees then modulated away down and spent over an hour trying to creep up the last degree. I actually think i just switched it offInteresting!

That is how our wireless roomstat/programmer works the boilerRight, the idea is that it modulates to the lowest possible flow temperature that will be sufficient to reach the temperature you want.
So maybe taking an hour to do the last one degree is "working as intended". Or, maybe you need to slightly adjust the parameters. I have no idea about your boiler, but I imagine there will be a setting you can adjust that affects its relationship between the external temperature and the water temperature. Turn this up a bit.
