Hi guys, hoping for a wee bit of advice.
I have this boiler and after having a pay as you go type meter installed and letting the gas run out after a busy week :eek:ops
After putting some credit in the meter I found that my boiler wasn't working. Now when i first moved in the same I had the same problem and the gas had presumably been off prior to us moving in. I had to get a maintenance chap in and it was costly for a 10 minute job.
I downloaded the manual and tried a few things, released the pressure etc but nothing worked and the main issue seems to be nothing lit AT ALL on the main panel. The external programme board at the side of the boiler cupboard is working and the gas hob is working so we have gas.
Help, i could really do without the extra money going out of my pocket this month.
:D Thanks in advance.

when you say nothing lit at all on the display. do you mean the display is totally blank. if so check the usual e.g fuse. but firstly, it could be that the boiler just needs a reset. as these boilers usually constantly run in dhw preheat without a kit. so when your gas was off. it tried firing up but locked out.

Thanks for the reply Holty, yes nothing at all totally blank, tried replacing the fuse on the wall to no avail but your explanation sounds exactly right, so my question should probably be how do I reset? I know there's the obvious small reset button but this doesn't seem to be doing anything.

blank display is usually the main pbc iirc. you state that the programmer is lit, so the fuse should be ok. check that the rocker switch on the front of the boiler is set to on, and failing that, its time to 'get someone in' for logical faultfinding. pcb is roughly £200 plus vat plus 1 hour labour.

good luck!

Thanks you. Shall try as you suggest and if that fails bite the bullet and get a professional in.
