Need to change the ballcock in the toilet and the isolating valve will not budge with the screwdriver to shut the water off...
Any idea's on the best methods to free up the isolating screw..

If you have a water meter, turn off there if you do move the "ballofix" valve at the loo it will probably leak anyway ;)

Turn off at mains replace ball valve and fit new isolation valve, As already said mess with it and you can gaurantee it will leak.

you have tried turning it the other way?

Yes l have ? Someone suggested try some WD40 on the screw and mole grips to try and turn it, do you think by doing this it might cause it to leak from the screw...
