Probably. Can you clarify where our regulations impose a requirement for an FCU?

And can you explain why if they are OK to be installed in other countries without FCUs they are not OK here?

Can anybody?
 
So you're saying that it is because of differences in regulations that we have to use FCUs and other countries don't?

Can anybody here explain where ours require that?

Stop telling people local isolators are not required, you will end up killing somebody.
 
Show us where the Wiring Regulations say that local isolators are required.

If they don't say that, please explain why you think it is OK to insult people who point out that they don't say that.

Do you think that applies to all equipment?

The definition of (electrical) equipment includes accessories.
Do you think 132.15.201 (do you not have the latest book?) applies to isolation switches?
