Can anyone help we have a jade electric shower unit , whilst having a shower this morning there was a large pop and water went off ,the unit then started to melt and a small flame came out so switched off electric and blew out the rcd did not trip , removed the cover and looks like the brown wire in the connection block had blown off making a clean break was this due to a power surge, what caused this?
