Jasper Morrison Single Basin Mixer advice

Hello

I have just purchased this Jasper Morrison Single Basin Mixer (E6396AA). I have put all the pieces that were supplied of the tap together except one piece. I am not sure where this piece fits into the Single Basin mixer tap.

The piece I am not sure about, and where it should go on the tap is shown in picture one and picture two. Picture two just shows a different angle.

In picture 3 are the mixer tap, and the popup waste, and also the part shown in picture one and two. Could some-one advise where the part in picture one connects to the tap? I’m going to change the tap soon and don’t want a leak to occur.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

By Spout I assume you mean the end of the tap. I have attached a photograph of the end of the tap and this already has a fitting. Also end of tap is more of a square shape not the same shape as the part in question which is round. Is this still where it needs to go?
