i use a normal adjustable basin wrench to undo tap backnuts, tap connectors also when required and it can be difficult and slips a bit. especially if there is not much space and you have to do it by "feel"

I have heard jaw drops are good? anyone ever used these before and where to get them from... I have never seen them before in any shops. Also how are they better than a normal adjuustable basin wrench? .....

LB,

I think they are the Mutts. You can now get them from Screwfix new division Plumbfix or from Pulsar Direct.

I find they give a little easier access as the heads are smaller than adjustable basin spanner. Also the sliding bar gives you more leverage that the handle on adjustable.

If you can get a set I would do.

thanks rico-hae just seen them in screwfix for 45 for a set (comes in a case)! for basin and bath taps they say!
