hello. Anyone know what it does? Can't find an explanation, almost looks like an alternative to the cold forming bend.
 
I would imagine that it is for use with their conduit system when pipes are buried in a screeded floor.

It would typically be used where the pipe enters or exits a screeded floor it ensures that no fitting (elbow) is buried in the floor, also if the pipe is damaged after installation you can disconnect at each end and remove pipe, then feed a new piece of pipe through the buried conduit without disturbing the floor. Good luck with that if you are using PEX pipe.
