joining 10mm

It depends where the joint is.

You can use 10mm crimps or a 10mm junction box. Although straight joints are a last resort where cables can't be replaced.

You can also wire in an accessory at the joint.

Where is the joint exactly?

its for my shower the current cable from the pull switch is about 8 ft to short,as im moving my shower into the corner of the room and the price of cable

if the joint is accessible you can use a 'click' 60 amp 3 terminal junction box...wa220 white
wa222 black
you will probably need a decent electrical wholesaler.

If it's only the run from the switch to the shower and it is easily accessible then you should really replace it...

in your curcumstance I'd say no you can't..
run a new piece from the switch..
do the job properly..
oh and PART P.. ( check the WIKI for more info )
you need to notify the LABC before you start work, and pay the fee.
or get a registered sparky to do it for you..

Trying to join the cable sounds like one of those jobs where you end up spending £20 on saving yourself a fiver, and ending up with a second rate job to boot.

thanks everybody for posting replies, yes you're all right im getting qualified leccy in to replace cable and come back to wire in shower after ive tiled. :D
