10.0mm² thru crimp, and heat shrink sleeving, or a 60A joint box.

The 10mm crimps (and anything above 6mm) needs a really big crimper.

The big ones are like a pair of Stilsons in size and weight. A 25mm crimp needs a lot of force.

Typical "keep it in your tool box" ratchet crimpers will do 1.5mm up to 6mm with their three graduated teeth.

I have some ratchet crimpers for copper tube crimps, which will do upto 16mm² crimps. They are the same size as my crimpers for insulated crimps.

Anyting lager then we have to wheel out these beasties:

in the gun world that's a pea shooter, compared to one we used on a company i worked for. (i cant find a pic of one just now) but it was a foot operated hydraulic one

We hire hydraulic crimpers for anything over 70mm² but it is very rare we work an anything that big.

Besides, TLC didn't have a photo of hydraulic crimpers

We use these type

I'm not a big fan of these crimpers because they are very prone to operator error.

I prefer the hydraulic crimpers with calibrated heads but as you say, if your not doing much above 16mm they are a bit expensive.

f***k me you was ambushed then

sadly i have no pic of a crimper
but i do know

what about a bnc crimper
