Hi all

I need to install an aco channel drain around a building which has a number of 45 degree bends.
Has anybody any ideas on how to join 2 pieces mitred together?
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Many thanks
Dave

We would either cut them (22.5°) and then butt them together with a waterproof jointing compound/mortar, or run the drain far enough to be able to 90° 'em.

You could saw the aco drain with a cut quick and just butt it together. 22.5 degrees each piece. The grid than sawed the same.

We would use a grading laser level to lay aco drain. The aco sections would be bridged using concrete bricks below bedded on some cement.

Then the concrete pour ( which we would vibrate) envelopes the entire aco channel creating a water tight seal and suitable for heavy traffic.
Aco drains are like mini shuttering sections except they never come out.

Cheers guys.
Each piece of drain will be about 1200mm long set around 2 turrets.
Gonna be fun!!!
