Joining gas soft copper pipework

What is the best method excepted by CORGI to join Soft copper gas pipework together, avoiding all hot works.

Best way:
Crimping?
Compression fitting?

If anyone has any information or web sites giving the best fittings or crimping tools to use i would be grateful.
