Thanks for the info. So the pipe is mainly for waterproofing, and concrete for structure?

Yes where there was a load over it, if it was in open ground it laid in the dirt the same as clay.

Joints if you're interested was x tapers that you smacked together with a lump of wood.
 
Hi, just a quick post to say thanks for everyone's help.

It was the nastiest, toughest and most horrible job I've ever had to do, and I hope I never have to do another like it :cry: Got it done in the end though, with much help from my dad mixing and shifting concrete.

The pipe was easy to cut with a hand saw, and I used some stubs of pvc pipe with rubber collars to make the join.
