Joists under Bathroom Floor.

Hi all,

I am currently helping my dad to plan how best to tackle his bathroom project.

If we were to install a shower where my mum would like it installed, then the waste would need to pass through 4 joists.

Could anyone direct me to a book/online info/regulations that would tell us how much of a joist can be removed?

unless your joists are over specified by 50mm then i suggest you find a different way of draining the shower.

you cannot successfully remove this mutch material from the joists.
