Can you help me I have got a 6mm cooker cable going into a juction in the loft which goes down the wall into a cooker switch and then it comes back out then to the back of the cooker but the new cooker i just brought has already got its own cable so i want to know if it will be ok to to put another juction box on the cable where it comes out the cooker and before it goes back to the switch

Why not reterminate the cable that goes into the old cooker onto the terminations for the new cooker - that eliminates another junction box.

What is the rating for the new cooker and the fuse in the cooker circuit? you may need to change the fuse in the consumer unit..
