I recently fitted a Wickes bottom entry torbeck ballvalve. It was OK for a few days but this morning the pipes and valve started making a noise and juddering just when the valve closes.

It doesn't go on very long but does anyone know the common causes of this and has anyone got any advice to fix it ?

The valve didn't come with a brace. could this be a problem with the diaphragm ?

HI

if it is only coming when cistern is flushed then it is the float valve or the diaphragm inside.in the meantime if there is any service valve fitted turn it down a bit which should stop the noise.

If you have a look at what came with your torbeck valve, you should see a white flow restrictor (the bottom one on this pic)

There will be one inside the bottom already but it should come with another in the packet that has more threads on it ( high pressure restrictor ) put that one in instead of the low pressure one & it should stop the rattling in your pipes.
