Keys for Window Locks - clueless

Help, Ive recently moved house and all the keys are missing for the window locks. A few are unlocked, so I have been able to open. I'm worried about not being able to unlock some of the bigger one's if there was a fire...

The only info I have on the catch it say's " securistyle 08/03" . but that is all ??? they are brass with a black pushy bit. Ive looked at securistyle website and they look similar to the vision handle ??? but they all look similar. Any one any idea where to find replacement keys..and where to start, finding out what Im searching for ..sorry for long ramble .x

Take one of the handles to a local locksmith who'll be able to identify and source replacement keys.

If you have a key for any of them, try the key in those that you do not have a key for.
If that works then you only need to take the key with you rather than the whole lock on your trip to the lock smiths.

I haven't got a key for any of them, just happens that some of them have been unlocked...only the small windows. Ive just had a look I don't think I would be able to take off the handle ? cant even see the screws??..Ive just uploaded pictures of the type of handle it is.

The screws will be covered, so you'll need to carefully prise the covers off before removing the screws - the screw under the locking section of the handle will likely be visible. You'll only be able to do this on the handles that open. If you don't feel able - call out a locksmith or upvc repair specialist, but ensure they don't charge a call-out first.

contact the people who sold you the house and ask for keys.

Perhaps get as good a close up photo of them as you can?

A key shop may recognise one then.

Ive taken some pictures so hopefully, this saves me having to unscrew them. going into town next week to have a search around for some help .

if your locksmith is as helpful as we are,they will lend you a bunch of all the common readycut keys for windows (we ask for proof of id and £50 deposit),try them all (theres about 20 different types) and then take them back showing which 1 works.

No-one implied leaving the window unlocked. Anyone with common sense would remove the handle and then use either the removed handle or a screwdriver to re-engage the mechanism.
