KINDER NEVADA COAL EFFECT GAS FIRE

I have one of the above and would be grateful if someone could let me know the actual siting of " the battery retaining cap" at front right of fire. The Installation and Maintenance booklet does not clearly show it.

Are you sure this has a Battery? I think you'll find its probably a Piezo Ignition.
