Hi, could anyone tell me how to wire a Kintec extension speaker to a Honeywell galaxy G2 panel? The speaker only has two wires (red and black) it should have been a straight swap of the existing speaker with a red and black cable going to the same outputs on the panel, however when the alarm goes off the speaker makes a tiny little noise as if the speaker is burst (it is not) so I’m looking for some guidance.

Was the old one a speaker or a sounder ? Or even a speaker that had a pcb inside to convert sounder to speaker ….

Hello Thanks for your reply. Please see below - the cable currently is connected to output 1003 on the panel and the red in the positive power section.

That’s a sounder …..not a speaker …what’s wrong with it ? Apart from its stuffed with tissue paper and tape….
What are you trying to do ?

It is being replaced with the Kintec unit. The only issue is the cabling will be different as the current set up is wired to output 1003. All I need to know is where to connect the Kintec wires to on the panel.

It doesn’t indicate if it’s the red or black cable that goes there so it’s not very clear. I don’t have much experience with this I work in a school and they have asked me to switch it over.

Jesus ….
Ok if the wires are back in the panel , remove the black wire which should be in bell trig and put in speaker terminal
IF ITS PROGRAMMED FOR SPEAKER AND NOT BEEN CHANGED ! …..you may have allready damaged the speaker by wiring it in the first place !
