Hope this is in the correct forum, apologies if not

Wife wants extra cupboard space on the kitchen walls but the only spaces left are on studded walls. We already have some cupboards on one studded wall but without taking them off (not replacing these) then I'm not sure of the best way to hang these on a studded wall.

I would assume that the brackets have to screw into the studs but will this be sufficient to take the weight of the cupboards and the crap the wife will put in them? , Are there special brackets etc to hang cupboards on studded walls?

Cheers

Replace the short wall plates which come with most kitchen units with continuous rail fixed to each stud, you may need a small notch out of the rear of the cupboards where they butt against each other.
