Hi - wondered if anyone could help please.

The electrics in my kitchen have blown - none of the sockets are working.

I have checked the fuse box - old style with wire (no circuit breaker) and that is still intact.

Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this and what I should do?

Thank you.

Are you absolutely sure that the fuse wire is intact? It is worth undoing and making sure.

apart from that it is either;

A broken/damaged cable somewhere or possibly a loose/broken connection at the first socket (assuming it is a radial not a ring.)

Do you have a multimeter? or even a test plug? If not you'll need a sparky

Thanks mate.

I'd say its definitely not the fuse box as there is only one fuse for all sockets and other parts of the house are fine.

Have arranged to borrow a multimeter tomorrow so hopefully that will help.

Most likely end up with the sparky though.
