I would like a new Extract chimney hood in our new kitchen like this:

Although due to the kitchen being small, and the Hob near a sloping roof, the ducting/chimney wouldn't fit.

Are there any nice looking solutions, other than something like this:

I know you can get things like this, but I don't think they look overly good, and there is no room for a cupboard:

Here is a crappy pic of the unfinished kitchen.

Hopefully it will show where I'd like the hood.

You could take the chimney part of the hood to a local sheet metal works and ask them to cut it down to the size and shape you want. Alternatively, you may want to try cutting it down with a jigsaw. If you do, clamp a piece of half inch plywood either side of the S/S and cut through the lot, otherwise you'll end up with a rather wobbly looking cut edge. ;) ;) ;)

Good idea about cutting it down actually.

Whats actually inside the "chimney" bit? Just a flue? 100mm diameter?

What you will find is that most of the chimney (stacks) above the canopy hood will be about 220mm wide, so your centre line at 100mm to the right will be a bit tight.
As you can see here, if you click on the next image or play on the picture.

but as joinerjohn has stated, if you know some one with sheet metal skills they can make it fit and look good.
Or you could consider triming the top with some beading.
