Wickes drew up this design for me and I’ve used it to purchase my ready to fit kitchen.

Looking at this again, is the sighting of the sink possible? It seems to have cut int a unit which is housing the Washing machine and won’t it also be very close to the job cut out?

Thanks in advance

The sink bowl will fit inside the 500mm unit but I will need to trim both of the wooden supports going across the top of the unit. Is that okay?

I’m concerned that it may weaken the integrity of this unit.

If you need to trim then it doesn’t fit .

I thought that it may be fairly routine to cut some of these supporting pieces of wood at the top of the unit as I know I will definitely need to do this for the Hob. The gap between these pieces of timber are 350mm and I’m not aware of a hob that will fit into this gap.

I’d welcome any further advice that you may have.

Unless the depth of the hob is lost in he worktop depth and hence does need altering the unit underneath?
