Just planning a very small kitchen(ette). Is there a regulation preventing the sink being above the base unit that covers the electric meter? I now it doesnt seem like a good idea, but there appears to be no way around this.
It's one of them.
It is not an ideal location for a CU/fuse box, under a sink were the obvious danger would be water ingress.
The regulations concerning external influences, state equipment shall be designed appropriately for the location it will be installed.
If equipment does not have the relevant protection for the environment, it may be used providing appropriate additional protection is used.
But again the equipment shall be easily accessible but as in the case of CU/Fuse Boxes should be placed out of easy reach of children and above flood levels.
Don't know if that helps any?
