Hi all, there is a small leak from the gap between the kitchen tap and the kitchen sink (water splashed onto the sink surface and then leak from the gap). As a result sometimes I can see there is small droplet running from the connectors below the sink. The connectors are a bit rusty too. I know it's probably due to the washer underneath the tap, but I am not good at DIY at all. Is there any quick fix (like sealant) without taking apart the tap and changing the washer?
The arrows in the photos point to the location of the problem.

Many thanks for advice.

You can't use anything around the outside of base of the tap really, it won't last and never really works and looks terrible. What you can do though is loosen the taps clamp nut from below and lift the tap up, without removing the actual tap and hoses, as there's extra length on the flexi's. Then it can be dried underneath and then run a ring of clear silicone around where the base sits and refit.

Spray the threaded bar and nut with some penetrating lubricant first and leave for a few mins.
