Kitchen Tap Leak

Our kitchen mixer tap is leaking from the hot tap. We have replaced the tap head and cartridge so can rule those out now. We have just tried reseating the tap and you can see the before and after photos enclosed, there appears to be 2 spots which may be cracks we can't tell but it's still leaking.

Is there a danger if we keep grinding this down another few mm - we heard about using some sort of filler and once dry possibly grinding that down? Any ideas?

I think that tap land is actually cracked mate....best not waste your time on it.

Thanks John - I was hoping that wasn't the answer but kind of expecting it!! We've wasted plenty of time on it already!
