Kitchen under cabinet lights.

Get strips of pelmet to match your kitchen cabinets, put T4 or T5 fluorescent link lights behind them.

Cheaper than those Wickes lights (or equivalent), and better.

I recently fitted some stickyback LED tape to the kickboard area of someones bathroom cabinet. The result was really good and the light was quite warm looking.

I think that they would work really well fitted to the back of cornice/pelmet in the kitchen and possibly under the doors of the base cabinet if you wanted to really bling things up.

Only downside is that its expensive.

If you can afford it go with the LED strip - I did a whole chapel in this and its looked fantastic - a few of the off cuts ended up in my kitchen strangely enough!

Thanks for the suggestions. Will give it some thought and make a decision.

My experience of all things sticky-backed is that they do not remain sticky.

I used LED strip, but inserted inside SOIC carrier tubes from Farnell, so that the whole lot could easily be wiped down to get rid of dust and grime. We're very pleased with the result.

They come with small clips and screws that holds the strip in place, I assume the sticky was for siting only.
