I have a kitchen unit to first fix, the waste in solvent will enter the unit from the back. The hot and cold will come from below. Is it best to do the waste first, first fix pipes and leave under plinth. Fix unit back. So waste is in unit. Then reach under and bring the hot and hot up from under the plyth?

Is the wall behind the cabinet plasterboard,or solid brick plastered over ?
I would be inclined to chase out the wall and bring pipework in through the back of the cabinet.

Thanks there is no void at the back of this unit is a strange IKEA one
Typical - don't know why IKEA find it difficult to follow a standard like a simple service void at the back of the unit. Create your own - back panel off and bring it forward 50mm and use block connectors or small batons. Then bring the services in from the back.
