Ever heard of this?

Upstand onto the worktop and then a few courses of tiles on top?

It seems people either have just upstand or just tiles and I'm struggling to find a kitchen with both, is there a reason for this ? .. - is it because it would look sh1t ? I have some tiles I'd like to use up. Suggestions welcome

Seen plenty with an upstand and tiles.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)

google: post formed laminate counter tops

Its common in North America to tile above the post formed, or planted square edge, upstand.
