Kitchen worktop 150mm proud of units .. will that look OK

Do you have to end the kitchen worktop at the edge of the base units ?

My wife suggested having a slight overhang at the end .. 100-150mm

Would this look OK ?

After the second knock on her thigh or hip bone, your wife may have a different opinion

It can look ok in some circumstances, sometimes people have a towel rail or similar, so an overhang is ideal then.

Don’t think it will look right without a purpose.If you have another 150mm why not stick another unit in

If there is an overhang I've generally put in a "ski ramp" end with a gentle curve to it to reduce the effect of bumping into a sharp corner
