kitchen fitting / worktop - advice please

Hi all

I'm currently fitting my own kitchen, the units are 570mm depth and my worktops are 600mm in depth. If i fit the units flush to the walls i will end up with a 30mm overhang of worktop at the front of the units.

Is this about right? Or could i bring the units forward, giving me more space at the rear of the units for pipes etc

The kitchen is a U shape, I hope to get someone in to fit the worktops and am using upstands as well, if this helps !

thanks !!

that is the correct measurement (3 CM over hang ) but there is nothing to stop you reducing that to allow for pipes so long as you have a few MM's overhang otherwise you will find the cupboards underneath will collect dirt/water from the worktop and will probably blow eventually
normally we just cut out the backs to allow for pipes.

By the time the doors are fitted you will loose at least 20mm of that overhang.
