can someone tell me what the bits are called to cut hinge holes on kitchen cupboards
 
also , you could try a flat blade bit :wink:think flat blade comes under drill bit DOH!!!!!
 
"Hinge bits" usually 35mm for most common makes, if you need to do a lot get TCT tips.

if you are referring to spade bits they are not realy sutable for thinner wood as the point protrudes to far and will make a hole on the ouside face before the hole is deep enough
